| Camper/RV Technician - Alvin Location |
Description:
Location: Alvin, Texas
Job Type: Full Time
Terry Vaughn RVs is currently seeking individuals with 2-5 years experience (preferred) in all aspects of recreational vehicle repairs and service. Would be willing to train an individual who is mechanically adept and has experience in some of the areas listed below.
The right candidate will have experience in the following:
1. Inspect recreational vehicles to troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, electromechanical and electronic problems and perform necessary adjustment, repair, or overhaul.
2. Repair water and sewage plumbing and propane gas lines, using proper caulking compounds and replacement plastic or copper pipe.
3. Locate, isolate and repair frayed, broken or incorrect electrical wiring, using ohmmeters, soldering irons, tape and hand tools.
4. Repair structural frame members to include floors, walls, and roofs. Remove and replace damaged exterior and interior panels.
5. List parts to be replaced, referring to manufacturer's manuals and diagrams.
Requirements:
Years Experience: 2 to 5 years
Additional Requirements:
1. Must have own tools.
2. Must possess honesty and integrity.
3. Be able to work well with others.
4. Have above average verbal communication, social and interpersonal skills.
5. Clean TDL.
Desired:
1. Forklift operator
2. Experience in towing trailers/campers

• MOW AND WEEDEAT THE PROPERTY GRASS
• PICK UP TRASH ON THE LOT
• GENERALLY KEEP THE LOT LOOKING NICE FOR CUSTOMERS
BUILDING MAINTAINANCE
• EMPTY TRASH DAILY
• CLEAN AND VACUME PERIODICALLY
• CHANGE A/C FILTERS MONTHLY
UNIT INVENTORY – TRAVEL TRAILERS AND FIFTH WHEELS
• CLEAN, WIPE DOWN, SWEEP OUT AND SET UP INTERIORS
• WASH AND RINSE EXTERIORS
• LOOK FOR AND REPORT PROBLEMS, ISSUES AND LEAKS TO SERVICE MANAGER
• MOVE/ARRANGE INVENTORY FOR DISPLAY AND SERVICE USING FORK LIFT
• PULL INVENTORY WITH COMPANY TRUCK TO AND FROM ALVIN DEALERSHIP
• ON OCASSION, DELIVER UNIT TO CUSTOMER'S LOCATION
SERVICE, PARTS AND RENTAL DEPARTMENTS
• HELP OUT OTHER EMPLOYEES AS NEEDED WHEN ASKED
• POSSIBILITY TO ADVANCE FULL TIME INTO THESE DEPARTMENTS
Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE
• POSSESS HONESTY AND INTEGRITY
• BE A TEAM PLAYER
• HAVE A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD, FOR DRIVING COMPANY TRUCK, WILL RUN TDL BEFORE HIRE
• HAVE A CLEAN CRIMINAL BACKGROUND, WILL RUN CHECK BEFORE HIRE
• ABILITY TO DRIVE FORKLIFT AND PULL TRAILERS WITH COMPANY TRUCKS
• BE DRUG FREE, WILL HAVE TO PASS DRUG SCREEN BEFORE HIRE
• HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION
